Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (PA) staff attended the Ministry of Energy, its Department and associated Statutory Bodies Maulidur Rasul Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam celebration for the year 1443H which was held virtually on Tuesday, 26th October 2021. Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mat Suny Bin Haji Mohd. Hussein, Minister of Energy and Chairman of PA.
The event commenced with the mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by Dhikir Marhaban performed by the Ministry’s Dhikir group to enliven the celebration. This was followed by a religious talk titled “Rasulullah Kekasih Allah, Kekasihku Dunia Akhirat” delivered by Yang Mulia Ustaz Awang Mohd Khairul Nazif bin Haji Damit, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Usuluddin, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).
The main message of the talk calls for the need to emulate the exemplary attributes of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam (PBUH) such as patience and determination especially as Brunei Darussalam is currently experiencing the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Muslim Ummah are urged to increase the recitation of Salawat and other virtuous activities to express our utmost love for the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam (PBUH).
The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat, Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Doa Memohon Perlindungan Daripada Wabak COVID-19 led by Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Nazirul Rawi bin Awang Zaimin, officer from the Ministry of Energy. The event is part of the annual religious events organised by the Ministry, its Department and Statutory Bodies to further enliven the celebration of Islamic events.
Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy, Yang Mulia Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Yahya, Permanent Secretary and PA Interim Managing Director, Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Jamra Weira bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Deputy Permanent Secretary as well as senior officials, officers and staff from the Ministry of Energy, its Department and Statutory Bodies.
