At Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (PA), we believe safety is our utmost priority and we continue to work together with industry players in oil and gas to ensure they are compliant to the safety regulations and procedures.
On 5th August 2024, Managing Director of PA, YM Shamir Salahuddin had attended the launching of the Brunei LNG Safety Day 2024 as the Guest of Honour. This year’s theme, “Before I Start Work”, emphasises personal responsibility and thorough preparation to create a safer work environment for everyone.
The event started with the opening remarks delivered by YM Haji Amir Hamzah bin POKDSP Hj Abdul Rahman, HSE Manager of Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd. The launching of the Brunei LNG Safety Day 2024 was officiated by Mr Adeleye Falade, Managing Director and CEO of Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd, who highlighted the importance of taking personal responsibility for safety and being accountable for one’s actions and their effects on others. The event was followed by a group photo, networking and breakout session among attendees.
The Brunei LNG Safety Day 2024 aimed to raise the awareness on the importance of each individual role in the jointly safeguarding efforts towards creating a safe and healthy workplace.
