Petrol stations in Brunei are subject to compliance and inspection safety checks which is carried out by Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (PA) on a quarterly basis.
On 27th May 2024, 3 retail officers and 1 HSSE officer from PA has conducted a petrol station compliance and HSSE inspections at 2 stations, namely the IBA Petrol Station and Trading and Berakas Filling Station.
The purpose of conducting such inspections is to ensure petrol stations comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), rules and regulations, and directives set by relevant authorities, in addition to provide recommendations to improve operations and focusing on overall safety.
