Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (PA) was amongst the regulators invited to the Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) Environmental Regulatory Roadshow on 7th November 2023. Other participating regulators include Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (DEPR), Fisheries Department, Forestry Department, Marine Ports and Authority Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) and the Brunei Climate Change Secretariat (BCCS).
The objective of this roadshow is to promote awareness and comprehension of Environmental Regulatory Requirements relevant to BSP operations, in addition to encourage interaction, providing numerous opportunities to learn and engage in discussions.
The event begun with a safety video followed with an opening remark, delivered by Yang Mulia Haji Osmera bin Haji Othman, BSP Head of HSE and Security.
PA’s participation focused on PA’s environmental regulatory purview for oil and gas industry in its capacity to exercise its role as a prudent regulator and technical advisor to the Government of Brunei on matters pertaining to Oil and Gas.
