The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam in collaboration with Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre held a blood donation drive on Saturday, 11th April 2020 at the Banquet Hall, Prime Minister’s Office Building.
With the objective to support the efforts of the nation’s hospitals in maintaining constant and adequate blood supply, the event saw support and participation from 57 donors comprising of staff from the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Energy, Department of Electrical Services (DES), Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), and the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam. The one-day event contributed to 57 pints of blood to the blood bank.
In ensuring the safety of all parties involved, social distancing measures as advised by the Ministry of Health were adhered to during the blood donation drive.
The drive is part of an ongoing goodwill campaign towards the Ministry of Health’s ongoing COVID-19 relief effort conducted by the Ministry of Energy, DES, SHENA and Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam.
